Bulky Items

Almost anything that can’t fit in your carts, cans or containers is considered a bulky item. We also accept large electronics and appliances at the curb, but these are handled differently than other bulky items. Bulky items include materials such as worn-out furniture and bald tires.

Accepted Bulky Items

We accept many unwanted bulky items, including the items below and many others. Before disposal, consider if the item can be used again. Items in good condition can be resold through Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and similar sites. These items can also be donated to your charity of choice, including Goodwill, ReTails, Salvation Army, and many others. Some charities will even pick up items from your residence.

Furniture: Mattresses, box springs, sofas, chairs, tables, desks, dressers, cabinets, patio furniture, etc.

Appliances: Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, stoves, dishwashers, lawn mowers, washers & dryers, microwaves, toasters, barbeques, etc.

Electronics: Computers, monitors, televisions, DVD players, printers, etc.

Miscellaneous: Rugs, block foam, etc. No household garbage is permitted, only items that are too large to fit in your garbage cart.

Disposal and Reuse Options

There are many ways to donate and dispose of unwanted bulky items. For up-to-date information on reuse and disposal locations and instructions, please use the RecycleRight tool. Click on Recycling A-Z Directory and type in a description of the bulky item, such as “furniture” or “air conditioner.”
